After four years of playing various roles in The Music Man, Bugsy Malone, Fiddler On The Roof, and Made In Dagenham, I was chosen to be a choreographer for my high school's production of Billy Elliot.

When creating dances, I had to ensure that I catered for both beginners and those more advanced, as well as using opposing styles of movement to portray the different characters (Miners, Policemen, and Ballet students).​ I then led many rehearsals to teach and refine these dances in my spare time, alongside revising for GCSEs and playing the roles of Clipboard Woman and Older Billy.

As my first experience of being a choreographer this sparked a new passion within me. It gave me the confidence to continue within further education and beyond.

 

Billy Elliot was performed at Hope Valley College in April 2019.
